Cotopaxi National Park is located 1 hour 20 minutes from Quito and is home to the majestic Cotopaxi stratovolcano, one of the main natural attractions in Ecuador. On this tour we can ascend to the first refuge for climbers: José Ribas from which we will have a privileged view of the Cotopaxi NP and Limpiopungo Lagoon.

After this we will walk in the Limpiopungo lagoon shore to observe the paramo ecosystem and its flora and fauna ending our volcanic adventure.

Your Plan

• 07:30 pick up from your hotel
• 09:30 Enter Cotopaxi National Park
• 10:00 The guide will give explanation of the area, volcanoes, vegetation, animals etc.
• 10:00 Arrive at Carpark 4500 meters above sea level and hike to refuge 4864meters later Arrive at Glacier at 5000 m
• 12:15 Returned to Carpark
• 12:25 Equipment Check – Start Bike ride
• 13:30 Finish biking
• 14:00 Drive to the restaurant for Lunch
• 15:00 Eat lunch
• 16:00 Return to Quito
