Itinerary

Day 1: Quito
Arrive in Quito at any time and settle into the city.

Day 2: Quito / Otavalo
Explore Otavalo’s renowned handicraft market, the largest in South America. Discover a vibrant array of handmade goods, livestock, fresh fruits, and vegetables, all brought by local villagers.

Day 3: Otavalo / Cotopaxi
Travel by bus to Cotopaxi National Park. Spend the afternoon either exploring the park or mountain biking with breathtaking views of Cotopaxi Volcano. Enjoy an overnight stay in a cozy mountain lodge near the park.

Day 4: Cotopaxi / Baños
Journey to Baños, a hub of adventure activities. Choose from hiking, ziplining, or canyoning, or simply relax in the soothing local hot springs.

Day 5: Baños
Immerse yourself in Baños with a full day of activities or leisure, soaking in the town’s adventurous spirit and natural beauty.

Day 6: Baños / Riobamba
Embark on a scenic train ride to the Devil’s Nose, famous for its dramatic switchbacks carved into the mountainside. Continue to Cuenca, where you’ll be enchanted by its exquisite colonial architecture.

Day 7: Riobamba / Cuenca
On the way to Cuenca, visit the Ingapirca ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site located about an hour and a half north of the city. Although a major Inca site, much of its history remains shrouded in mystery.

Day 8: Cuenca
Enjoy a half-day city tour of Cuenca, including the Turi viewpoint, a Panama hat factory, and the historical center. Spend the afternoon exploring the city at your own pace, or choose to hike in Cajas National Park or relax in nearby hot springs.

Day 9: Cuenca / Quito
Fly back to Quito and savor your last evening in this historic city.
